Are you are looking for fresh, locally grown or produced food? If so, you have come to the right spot! There are four different communities within Marshall County who offer a weekly Farmer's Market. Finding an abundance of baked goods, jams, honeys, vegetables, plants and so much more, you will be delighted in the unique finds at any of our local markets. We challenge you to try and hit each of these farmers markets at least once throughout the summer. They all have different produce and products!
Plymouth Farmers Market: We would love to see you at the Plymouth Farmers Market from 7:30am to 11:30 am every Saturday morning during the months of May through October. This is located at River Park Square at the Corner of Garro & Water Street. The Farmers Market provide educational opportunities for producers to test and refine their products and marketing skills. Enhance the quality of the life in the Marshall County area by providing a community activity which fosters social gathering and interaction and contributes to a vibrant downtown Plymouth.
Culver Farmers Market: The Culver Farmers Market, located at Culver Town Park will not disappoint! They are open Saturdays from 9am to 1pm from May 2nd to October 12th. They are also open from 5 pm to 7 pm on May 29th until August 28th. This Farmers Market, “provides a place for local growers, small-sized producers and artisans to sell their fresh produce and goods directly to consumers, educate consumers about local farming and seasonal eating, and promote the use of locally grown ingredients and local artisans.”
Bourbon Farmers Market: You can find the Bourbon Farmers Market located at the corner of West Center and 3rd Street (in the old Dairy Queen parking lot). You can find them open on Saturdays from 9am to 12 pm during the months of June through October. Come support your local business owners and individuals who spend hours, days, and months growing healthy produce just for you! They will do all they can to teach consumers about the taste and health benefits of eating fresh locally grown food.
Bremen Farmers Market: We invite you to checkout the Bremen Farmers Market located Downtown Jackson Street! They are open every Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm during the months of June through September. Want to provide increased access to healthy locally grown food by low income, minority, and at-risk populations? You can help provide a vehicle to achieve a friendlier, more united community and stronger sense of neighborhood, and a positive community image!
Local Farmer's Markets are a great way for community members and visitors alike to purchase directly from the producer. It allows people to talk with those who cultivated the earth in order to bring products and produce to you. It is a place where the consumer is able to ask questions to learn more about the product that they are purchasing. It is a place where communities come together.
