Circus Trains ExtravaganzaSaturday, July 14, 2012 The Marshall County Museum's train room will be hosting a circus theme in July and August.Starting Saturday, July 14 from 11:00 - 1:00 our model train exhibit will feature a circus theme inspired by Disney’s Dumbo complete with circus train cars, special engines and locomotives, dazzling light shows, and a flying elephant. Colorful LED lighting will entertain guests as they view rare locomotives such as Casey Jr. modeled after the little train in Dumbo saying “I think I can, I think I can,” a LGB Grizzly Flats locomotive which is considered to be the most precisely made scaled-down version of a locomotive, and a 24 karat gold-plated flat car. For kids who want a more “hands-on” experience, the play train set will have a big top circus tent and circus acts. The circus theme will only be available for viewing until the end of August. The trains are available for viewing during our regular hours, but only run Saturdays from 11:00 - 1:00. |
