Garden WalkSaturday, June 16, 2012 Every year the Amish community in Bremen, Indiana holds a “Garden Walk” with several Amish families participating.The annual Amish Garden Walk in the Rentown area is Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. They ask for a donation ($7.00) which helps the local Amish school. There are always new discoveries to be made among the neat rows of vegetables and bright flowers. The Amish Garden Walk starts at the Amish School house with a sweet snack and beverage for everyone to enjoy. They also sell fresh baked goods, with proceeds benefiting the Amish community. As we walk to the different Amish gardens, the Amish grocery store gives out “FREE” homemade ice cream. It’s a great way to spend a day, and we are all helping their Amish children learn by donating to their school! |
