Designing Dolls: Developing Your Own Textile Figure

Monday, August 28, 2017
9:00am - 4:00pm

Do you have ideas for uniquely designed dolls, but don’t know how to go about making those ideas reality? Like the idea of creating a doll, but don't know how? This is for the adventuresome; no patterns are handed out! Through one-on-one interaction with Jennifer, learn how to develop your ideas into three-dimensional shapes from flat fabric and hand-drawn patterns. Learn about special fabric usage and embellishments, drawing/painting faces, and creating needle-sculpted faces. Participants will produce at least one of their own uniquely designed dolls. Basic sewing machine skills and knowledge of your own well-working machine are required.
