As the weather starts to warm up, it is time to start creating your Spring/Summer bucket list! We have listed a couple wonderful attractions in Marshall County that you are more than welcome to add to your bucket list! We also invite you to look further into Marshall County and see what other things you could come across to conquer this summer. It is always fun crossing things off of your bucket list and being able to say “I’ve been there!”

Root beer stand: Everyone loves the Original Root beer Stand, an old-fashioned drive in with wonderful food and service. Highly recommend you eat at the Root beer Stand while looking into the beautiful view of Lake Maxinkuckee. They have everything your heart desires: wonderful root beer floats, delicious hamburgers, your very own side of fries or cheese fries, amazing onion rings, tender chicken fingers, and so much more! You won’t be disappointed, in fact; you may end up going there several times after!

Splash Pads: We have three Splash Pads in Marshall County now and we invite you to check them all out! Plymouth Community had a goal to implement a Splash Pad for kids and families! This is located behind the buildings in downtown Plymouth! Argos has a splash pad located in the Argos Community Park! You can also visit Bourbons park and Splash Pad! This is a wonderful way to cool off after a long day in the sun! Everyone loves an easy way to entertain their kids!

Lake Max: One of Marshall County’s Biggest Attractions, Lake Maxinkuckee, is the second largest natural lake in the U.S. state of Indiana, which covers 1,864 acres. The Town of Culver, Indiana, in southwestern Marshall County is located on its northwestern edge. After a long day on the lake or at the beach, you can walk up to the Original Root beer Stand!

Speedway: We would love to see you on Saturday nights at Speedway to watch all sorts of races! Enjoy the concession stands, dirt atmosphere, and the loud Saturday nights with your friends and family! Even if you aren’t usually into racing, I bet you would end up enjoying it. They even have awesome fireworks on certain nights that you can look up on their website! They are now open, so add this to your list and get moving.

Culver Academies: Culver Academies is a college preparatory boarding school located in Culver, Indiana which is composed of three entities- Culver Military Academy for boys, Culver Girls Academy, and the Culver Summer Schools and Camps. Culver Academies offers life changing experience that work on Leadership & Character, Learning to Learn, Timeless Values, and Global Citizenship. They have so many wonderful events all summer and a beautiful campus you can just go look at and admire!

Golf Courses:  Northern Indiana’s Marshall County offers an area for golfers of all ages and skill levels, whether that is from a family-friendly golf course that was built on a 100-year-old family farm or a state-of-the-art golf academy at a high-end resort! Marshall County brings to you, six outstanding golf destinations to make it easy to plan a perfect golf getaway. Check out the following courses and decide which one is best for YOU: Swan Lake Resort, Tri-Way Golf Course, Pretty Lake Golf Club, Mystic Hills Golf Club, and Woodbury Golf Course.

Bike Trails:  There are four marked bike routes that will take you countryside, around the state’s second largest lake, Lake Maxinkuckee, as well as to some quaint stores where you can shop or simply enjoy some good food. Depending on how long you would like to enjoy time on your bike, we have several different routes just for you. All the routes we have start at Webster School, which is located at 1101 South Michigan in Plymouth. However, you’re welcome to start anywhere by just following the signs. Come pick up a bike trail map in the Visitors Center! Take your friends or family on a fun, adventurous bike ride to make some everlasting memories!

Potawatomi Wildlife Park: Potawatomi Wildlife Park is 317 acres on State Rd 331 near Tippecanoe Indiana. There are 5 miles of trails! You can see a woodland, prairie, ponds & wetlands, native wildlife and so much more all adjoining the Tippecanoe River. Preserves site of 1800's Post-removal Potawatomi village and features back to 8,000-10,000 B.C.. This includes moved and restored Boots Cabin, which is oldest building in the Marshall County. You are welcome to use the facilities which include the Interpretive Center, restrooms, amphitheater, fire-ring, picnic areas, 200 person rental pavilion, and an Organized Youth Group Campground!
