Counting Down the Days...

Are you getting ready for the 52nd annual Marshall County Blueberry Festival? It is almost time to celebrate your love for blueberries and mark your calendars! This family-friendly, fun, and fantastic festival takes place on August 31st through September 3rd (Labor Day Weekend) in the beautiful Centennial Park located in Plymouth, Indiana. Did you know the Marshall County Festival is Indiana’s largest 4-day festival with nearly a half million attendees?

This year’s theme for the Blueberry Festival is “A Blue Ribbon Festival For All!” There is only 24 more days until it is BLUEBERRY WEEKEND! This annual festival promotes the Marshall County community and its members, while encouraging travel to our area and all of Northern Indiana. People travel from all over to partake in FREE family activities, sporting events, unique shopping booths, a variety of delicious food, local entertainment and arts, spectacular fireworks, an impressive parade and community fellowship at the Blueberry Festival.

Be sure to stop and say hello to your 2018 Miss Blueberry Queen, Kenzie Quissell! Kenzie is the daughter of James and Deanne Quissell. She is the younger sister of 2015 Miss Blueberry Queen, Cassi Quissell. Kenzie will be attending Indiana State University in the fall to study Business and Finance. She will be making appearances throughout the festival all weekend and specifically in the parade, blueberry stomp, the little miss and mister blueberry pageant, car show, fireworks, balloon glow, etc! I am sure Kenzie would love to meet you and would be more than willing for some pictures at the festival!

Before you leave the fun, plan to snatch some of those delectable blueberry donuts and ice cream… they are well worth the wait! So join our community in counting down the days until the 2018 Marshall County Blueberry Festival! 24… 23… 22… 21… 20… 19… 18… 17… 16… 15…
